When problems surface, we can offer support in the form of emergency food parcels, which we provide locally around the Island. Help is coordinated from our Central headquarters at Ballafletcher House.
The first stage is to get in touch by phone, text message, email or via our Facebook page. It is helpful if you can give us a phone or email address so we can contact you easily.
We also receive referrals by other routes including Benefit offices, Isle of Man Debt Counselling Service, Medical services, Police, other charities, Probation service and Government Departments.
Once the initial crisis is addressed, clients will be provided with structured support in areas such as Debt Management, Life Skills, Careers and Budgeting. We aim to help them get back on their feet again, get out of the crisis, and move forward.
We will help clients to seek out assistance in the medium term from state benefits, medical practitioners etc. We can help you to find it by giving advice and assistance alongside our food parcel service. Our aim is to help users with their longer term plans, so that they do not become dependent on the charity. We aim to give a hand up, rather than a hand out.
